Life is a journey that you either embrace or fight against, I have chosen to embrace the journey. Once I made the decision to embrace my calling instead of fighting against it things started coming together and falling into place. I quit college in my 20’s because I had a “good” paying job and didn’t think that I needed an education. The truth is that I just didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life and was just going to school because that was what I thought I was supposed to do. Once I figured that out I was able to go back to school in my 30’s and finish my Masters when I was in my 40’s. It’s never too late to listen to that little voice in your head that keeps telling you what you should do.

While I’ve had a very successful career in the business world I really wish that I would have started this part of my journey a long time ago. The picture above is of my husband Ken, my only son Trevor who is now 18 and me on the baseball field where he is playing his senior year of high school. By having a successful career I missed a lot of his other school activities throughout his life and I look back now realizing that if I had made the decision to listen to my inner voice before I would have been there for those days. I’m not saying that I regret the decisions that I’ve made because everything we do makes us who we are in the present moment but I do often wonder what might have been different had I made the choice to go down this path sooner.
